Selfbuild show lands in Connacht in November

Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live has launched a brand new show to bring Ireland’s number one home building event to Connacht.

Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live Connacht will take place Saturday November 2 and Sunday November 3, 2024, at The University of Galway Connacht GAA Airdome, Eircode F12 WF21.

Self-builders in counties Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo will now get to experience all of Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live’s features closer to home.

Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live Connacht will be unveiling a brand-new Build Cost Theatre to provide information on how much building, renovating, or extending a house actually costs in Ireland today.

Experts at the Build Cost Theatre will chat about material prices, labour rates, fees and other expenses you can expect pay on your home renovation or home building journey. Plus sessions on financing your build with mortgage experts and the First Home Scheme.

This marks Selfbuild Ireland’s second event launch this year, on the back of the resounding success that was Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live Limerick in January 2024.

“We’ve had requests to relaunch in the west of Ireland, especially now that one-off house starts and extensions are high, but a lack of suitable venue has always constrained us,” said Selfbuild Ireland sales director Mark Duffin. “The University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome ticks all the boxes; it’s in a fantastic location and offers ample space. We’re delighted to be able to bring the show to our audience in Connacht.”

The launch in Connacht means that Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live now covers all four provinces: Leinster, Munster, Ulster and Connacht.

Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live welcomes 40,000 visitors a year and its flagship events are in Dublin and Belfast.

Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live events are known for their high-quality exhibitors, relevant to all aspects of home building and home improving. All exhibitors are specialised in house building and home improving only, meaning there are no distractions.

Other regular show features will also be available at Selfbuild Extend & Renovate Live Connacht, including the ever-popular one-to-one clinics, and talks on all aspects of home building and home improving, from grants and design to heat pumps and solar panels.
