Ask An Architect NI is now halfway through its 2025 run; you have until the end of September to book a no-obligation chat with an architect.
Whether you’re dreaming of a new build, planning an extension or tackling a renovation, getting advice from an architect can make all the difference. But this initiative is not just about benefiting from good design.
The annual charity drive, organised by the Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA), raises much needed funds for cancer research at Belfast City Hospital through the Friends of the Cancer Centre.

Here’s how it works: for a minimum donation of £50, you get a one-hour consultation with a professional chartered architect. This session is obligation-free — just practical advice tailored to your project, no matter the size.
This year, 33 architecture practices across NI have volunteered their time to help. Whether you need ideas for a home office, some guidance on planning permission or a complete self-build project, there’s an architect ready to assist.
The event is funded by NIE Networks and Progressive Building Society, who cover all running costs. That means every penny of your donation goes straight to cancer research and clinical trials.
If you’d like to book your consultation or donate, visit askanarchitect-ni.com. Bookings are open until the end of September 2025.
